TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 targets market volatility with new stages
TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 returns to San Francisco this October with six new stages designed to help founders and investors navigate increasingly complex and volatile global markets.
The technology conference TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 will return to San Francisco from October 13–15. Held at the Moscone West convention center, the event is expected to draw 10,000+ founders, investors, and operators for 250+ sessions across six distinct stages. The programming is structured to address the operational pressures currently reshaping startup innovation, ranging from AI-native competition and infrastructure bottlenecks to changing venture dynamics and enterprise adoption.
Registration for the event is currently open, with multiple pricing incentives available for attendees:
- Early Bird rates offer savings of up to $410 on passes.
- A 50% discount is available on a second ticket to allow teams to attend together.
- Community groups can save up to 30% on tickets.
Additionally, applications for the Startup Battlefield 200—a startup competition held at the event—must be submitted by the May 29 deadline.
The updated stage structure is designed to address what organizers identify as the primary risk for founders and investors in the current environment: reacting too late to shifts in the global market. To mitigate this, the six stages will provide tactical and operational insights. The Disrupt Stage will serve as the main hub, hosting the Startup Battlefield 200 competition. On the Builders Stage, discussions will focus on the operational realities of fundraising and scaling, including moving from seed to Series A and AI-native hiring strategies. Speakers on this stage include Nina Achadjian of Index Ventures, Rajeev Dham of Sapphire Ventures, Josh Reeves of Gusto, Grant Lee of Gamma, Robby Stein of Google, and Mo Jomaa of CapitalG.
The Smart Money Stage will cover financial infrastructure, payments, and fintech models, with insights from Jack Zhang of Airwallex and Lotti Siniscalco of Emergence Capital. Physical infrastructure constraints, such as energy, climate tech, and grid bottlenecks, will be addressed on the Smart Systems Stage by speakers including Jeff Lawson of Inertia and David Kirtley of Helion. Finally, the AI in the Real World Stage will focus on deployment reliability in robotics and industrial operations, while the AI Stage, presented by Google Cloud, will examine how generative AI and AI agents are changing software business models.
Why it matters
The new stages at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 are designed to help founders and investors make faster, more informed decisions in today’s highly complex, volatile markets.
